Our Story
Our story begins with ilithia at 17, as a Californian gym regular – because that’s just what they did. Fitness was in her blood, thanks to early mentorship from her youngest brother and stepfather. Ilithia took vitamins religiously, avoided heavy meat consumption (making her shift to vegetarianism in 2021 effortless), and even owned a fitness studio, O2BFit, where she taught spin and aerobics classes and hosted healthy cooking workshops from her home kitchen.
But despite decades of discipline, she couldn’t solve one stubborn puzzle: the extra weight that clung to her no matter how hard she trained. Ilithia instinctively knew the answer lay not in the gym but on the plate – the science of food as medicine. That revelation led her to the Energetic Health Institute (EHI), where she finally cracked the code. Through rigorous study, nutritional biochemistry, mindful eating, and root-cause healing, Ilithia shed the weight she carried for years and, more importantly, helped her son reverse his pre-diabetic diagnosis in 2023 using food as his first line of defense, thanks again to EHI.
Holistic health, for Ilithia, is full-circle sovereignty. It’s why she became a Reiki Master (2022), honoring the body’s energy fields; why she taught African Heritage Cooking Classes in 2018 (featured in the Dallas Morning News showcasing her Jollof Rice!); and why she spearheaded urban farming co-ops under her nonprofit and studied Master Gardening through Texas A&M Ext. Course – it is because true wellness demands access, education, and cultural reconnection.
Today, Ilithia’s mission is clear: to equip the Black diaspora and global communities with the tools to reclaim their health – body, mind, and spirit. No gimmicks, no elitism, just the empirical science and ancestral wisdom that helped her transform her own life and that of her son.
This isn’t just my career, Ilithia explains, It’s my legacy!

7Core Values
7 Core Values -
-
Authenticity
Why: Our advice must be grounded in evidence-based holistic science, not trends or dogma. If a decision requires compromising scientific integrity or our genuine belief system (e.g., endorsing a fad diet for profit), it violates authenticity.
Guiding Question: "Is this action/policy/product truly aligned with holistic principles and evidence?" -
Integrity
Why: Financial sustainability is necessary, but never at the expense of exploiting clients or prioritizing profit over their well-being. This prevents upselling unnecessary services/products or making false promises.
Guiding Question: "Does this choice place the client's well-being above profit or convenience?" -
Wholeness
Why: Health is multi-dimensional (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, environmental). Decisions must honor this complexity, rejecting overly simplistic solutions that ignore root causes or individual context.
Guiding Question: "Does this approach address the whole person and their unique circumstances?" -
Empowerment
Why: True health comes from self-awareness and self-efficacy. Our role is to educate and guide, fostering independence, not create dependency. Avoid decisions that disempower clients (e.g., rigid meal plans with no education). As Dr. H. said, “we want to become obsolete to our clients!”
Guiding Question: "Does this empower the client with knowledge and agency over their own health journey?" -
Compassion
Why: Healing requires a safe, non-judgmental space. Every interaction and business practice must be rooted in deep empathy and kindness, meeting clients where they are without shame. Reject harsh criticism or punitive approaches.
Guiding Question: "Is this choice/action rooted in kindness, understanding, and respect for the client's journey?" -
Presence
Why: Effective guidance requires deep listening and full attention. Decisions that compromise your ability to be fully present with clients (e.g., overbooking, excessive admin during sessions) undermine the quality of care.
Guiding Question: "Does this allow me to be fully present, attentive, and responsive to my clients' needs?" -
Collaboration over Competition
Why: Shifting a societal paradigm requires collective effort. Prioritize building community, referring to other practitioners when needed, and sharing knowledge openly. Reject scarcity mindset or undermining peers.
Guiding Question: "Does this foster connection, community, and collective well-being, rather than isolation or competition?"
