ILITHIA's EVOLUTION

CONGRATULATIONS on this tremendous achievement!
1. Tell us about your experience in this course and program…what did you love?
My journey through this program has been profoundly transformative, and completing it feels like a monumental personal victory. The timing was a challenge in itself, managing coursework while traveling internationally from Africa to the U.S., temporarily living and on pressing business, was a true test of my dedication. There were moments of high stress, but my commitment to the material kept me engaged and prevented me from falling too far behind.
What I loved most was the paradigm shift the curriculum facilitated. Coming from a fitness background, I understood exercise, but EHI provided the critical missing piece: the profound impact of nutritional intelligence. The course moved me beyond simplistic "eat healthy" advice into a world of actionable, evidence-based knowledge.
The modules on food quality were revolutionary. I transitioned from merely dabbling in organic to understanding the "why" behind it – the reduction of toxic load from pesticides and the potential for higher nutrient density. Learning about the importance of high-heat stable oils and safe cookware (moving away from non-stick toxins) fundamentally changed how I view meal preparation. The lesson on water quality was another cornerstone; understanding contaminants and the methods to develop my own clean water shifted something I took for granted into a pillar of conscious health.
The holistic philosophy of the program has redefined my relationship with food. The expression "you can't unsee it" perfectly captures how I now view the standard American diet. Living in Africa during part of my studies provided a unique laboratory. While accessing 100% organic food has been a challenge, the relative lack of pervasive fast-food culture here has been a blessing. It has allowed my son and me to embrace a whole-foods diet more easily. This experience has cemented my resolve; returning to the U.S., I will never revert to my previous eating habits. Furthermore, I've been able to use my new knowledge to educate my family, teaching my daughter-in-law about appropriate portion sizes and the nutritional needs of an adult body that is no longer growing, which has already had a positive impact on my son's health.
2.    What are you proud of yourself for accomplishing?
I am immensely proud of accomplishing a complete lifestyle integration that yielded tangible, life-changing results for myself and my family.
My pride begins with a pivotal moment in 2023, when I used my initial EHI knowledge to help my son reverse a pre-diabetic diagnosis. Armed with the early principles of whole foods nutrition and the dangers of processed sugars and fats, I overhauled his diet. Just three months later, his blood sugar readings had returned to a normal, healthy range. This early success was a powerful proof of concept for me – it demonstrated that this knowledge wasn't just theoretical but had the power to alter health outcomes dramatically.
This ignited my passion to become a wellness advocate within my own family. After later moving from Botswana to Ghana, my son and his wife had fallen away from their active routines. Using the expanded principles of holistic health from EHI, which champions movement as a core pillar of wellbeing, I successfully motivated and guided them back to a consistent fitness regime.
My most significant personal accomplishment is the 20-pound weight loss I achieved through this non-diet, lifestyle-based approach (see before and after pictures below). For years, that weight seemed stubbornly permanent, resistant to exercise alone. EHI provided the missing link: the nutritional wisdom to fuel my body correctly. This wasn't about deprivation; it was about nourishment and understanding what my body truly needs to thrive.
The result goes far beyond the number on the scale. It’s the regained confidence and comfort in my own skin and my clothing. It’s the proof that at my age (67), sustainable health is achievable through a synergistic approach. My active lifestyle, 90-minute gym sessions combining cardio and weight training 4-6 days a week, requires robust nutrition, and EHI taught me how to provide it. I’ve learned that health is not about being the smallest but about being the strongest and most vibrant version of oneself. My goal is to maintain a healthy weight of around 140 pounds to support my muscle mass and energy levels. This program gave me the tools to finally shed the weight that exercise alone couldn't touch, and for that, I am eternally grateful. These accomplishments are a testament to the power of a truly holistic approach to living well.
